Andrea and Andreas invite you to stay with them!

Originally from Switzerland, we, Andrea and Andreas spent the last 30 years traveling and living the world from Africa, to South East Asia, to Europe and South America with our four children.

We wanted to realise a lifelong dream to be close to nature, to farm and host guests. After searching many countries and corners of the world we found this magnificent spot and settled down here in Portugal on a farm amidst the centenary olive trees, cork trees, Ibarian oak trees and sheep.

 

Herdade dos Alfanges, a farmhouse that was first built in the 1600's, is located close to Vila Nova da Baronia, in the heart of the Alentejo region, not even 2 hours from Algarve. Upon adopting this Herdade in summer 2017 we have been renovating it gradually to turn it into a little oasis.

 

Now we would like to open the doors and share our paradise with others.

Herdade dos Alfanges has two guest houses that can be rented for family stays, reunions and retreats and can sleep up to 16 people. "THE BARN" and "THE FARMHOUSE" can be booked on a self catered basis. Located only 1 and 1/2 hour from Lisbon, 30 minutes from Evora. The farm can easily be reached by train or by car.

 

Our homes have always been filled with people coming and going from all walks of life and we look forward to continuing this with the Herdade dos Alfanges. We speak German, French, English and Portuguese.

 

Once here, we will receive you with the warmest welcome and ensure that you feel at home in no time. It may even be hard to leave at the end of your stay, and there is no doubt you will want to come back.
