Andrea and Andreas invite you to spend your holidays on their farm!

Originally from Switzerland, we – Andrea and Andreas – have spent the past 30 years traveling and living with our four children across the world, from Africa to Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America.

​

We wanted to fulfil a lifelong dream: to live close to nature, host guests, and run a place of hospitality. After exploring many countries and corners of the world, we found this beautiful place and settled here in Portugal, on a farm surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, cork oaks, holm oaks, and sheep.

​

Herdade dos Alfanges, a farm built in the 17th century, is located near Vila Nova da Baronia, in the heart of the Alentejo region. After taking over the estate and land in the summer of 2017, we gradually renovated it to transform it into a small oasis.

Now we want to open our doors and share our paradise with others.

Herdade dos Alfanges has two guesthouses that can be rented for family holidays, gatherings, and retreats, with space for up to 16 people. The farm is just 1.5 hours from Lisbon and 30 minutes from Évora. It’s easily accessible by train or car.

​

Our homes have always been full of people from all walks of life, and we’re excited to continue this tradition at Herdade dos Alfanges. We speak German, French, English, and Portuguese.

Once you're here, we'll give you a warm welcome and make sure you feel at home in no time. In fact, it may be hard to leave at the end of your stay — and there's no doubt you'll want to come back.
